A charming, authentic and heroic village with a rich history, still boasting its original beauty.

A full-day program which will take us to an 11th century church on a steep rock over the Tritona River with its unique view and architecture. Climbing further up (1200m), we will have the opportunity to admire the majestic temple dedicated to Apollo Epikourios (“Apollo the helper”), described as the Parthenon of the Peloponnese. The last stop will be in the village of Andritsaina which is one of the most traditional and picturesque villages in North Western Peloponnese.

The visitors, enchanted, will praise the grandeur of Lady Andritsaina, longing until they can be close to her once again.

The village is amphitheatrically built, in the shadow of Mount Lykaion and at an altitude of 750 meters, in a verdant landscape, near the borders of Ilia and Arcadia. She has the confidence of a woman aware of her power and wields her beauty without pomp. She maintains the simple garb of ancestral mountain villages.

Stone-built and majestic, Andritsaina bears the marks of conquerors, looters, wars and revolutions before becoming a remarkable commercial and cultural .The region of Andritsaina is also home to two beautiful mythical rivers, Alpheus and Neda

Wandering on cobbled streets and looking for the village trademark, “Trani Vrysi” with its 4 stone fountains, which is the oldest in the Peloponnese built in 1724.

Then we visit the prided Folklore Museum, which is housed in a building from 1847 and includes approximately 4,000 exhibits and finally we stop by the Nikolopoulios Library, where you will find rare manuscripts and publications from the 15th century as well as documents of the highest historical importance related to the French and Greek revolutions.

Before the end of the excursion we enjoy ouzo or refreshment under the imposing plane tree on the village square.
