The ancient Olympia may be in ruins, but this tour gives you a chance to feel like you are transported back to Ancient Olympia. You’ll hop on your private minibus to Olympia, where the first ancient Olympic Games were held.

Drive through a pretty countryside, set in the valley between the Alphios and Kladeos rivers. Upon arrival, each guest will be given the virtual reality glasses with all the instructions to help you get back in time in Olympia.

This piece of kit can combine the real-time content of its camera with virtual elements. So, when you point the camera at various locations around the site, images will pop up of the ruins in their original form, as they once stood thousands of years ago.

This means you’ll be able to visualize the monuments of Olympia, including the Temple of Zeus – one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – and the Altis, where the athletes competed before the stadium was built. Once you’ve finished your virtual tour, you’ll have some free time in the village to look around, do some shopping or grab something to eat, before returning to the ship or hotel.
